We are delighted that you are interested in our deluxe Schönblick Hotel in Meransen on the Gitschberg. We – the Oberhofer Family – are passionate about our hotel and like nothing more than to ensure that you have an enjoyable holiday and feel at home with us.

We are pleased to introduce ourselves to you!

 

Hotel manager, Klaus, is responsible for the general running of the hotel. He takes care of enquiries, bookings, and the morning post and looks after the hotel’s guests. In the evening he helps serve in the restaurant and after dinner you will find him in the bar, where he is always ready to give advice or tell a funny story. His biggest hobby is hiking. Consequently, he is also a qualified guide and accompanies guests once a week on a local walk. He knows all the most beautiful spots... just ask him!

Klaus is helped by his wife, Helene, the friendly face of Schönblick Hotel. She is responsible for looking after the staff, purchasing for the hotel and liaising with the kitchen team... in Schönblick Hotel we cater for your tastes! Helene is also responsible for interior design and flower arranging.

Their son Moritz is still at school but also helps out in the hotel. He is always smiling and a real favourite with everyone. One of his hobbies is playing the accordion and every now and then he will play a song for the guests. Just like his father Klaus, Moritz is always ready to have fun and enjoy a joke – just take a look at our prospectus!!

Granny Helga and Grandpa Rudolf are also part of the family. They laid the founding stone of the current hotel in 1962 and began running what was then a small bed and breakfast. Granny Helga is a passionate cook and was responsible for the culinary well-being of the guests. Grandpa Rudolf was a butcher by trade. Both still help with the business today, Granny Helga now and then in the kitchen and Grandpa Rudolf outside and with the general caretaking. In the summer months you are likely to see Grandpa Rudolf out in the fields helping with the hay harvest – one of his great passions!
